Rules differ by beach along this coast, and they change. The nearest off-leash beach is in Jupiter, where a 2.5-mile stretch allows dogs to run and swim off leash but excludes lifeguarded areas. Elsewhere, check the posted signage before you assume — and for what it is worth, Palm Beach County does not permit dogs on its county beaches.
