What board & train actually is
Board and train means your dog moves in with a professional trainer for two weeks and trains every day, in a working routine, instead of once a week for an hour. The obedience gets built in a concentrated block rather than assembled slowly around your schedule.
It is the right answer when the gap between where your dog is and where you need them to be is large, or when the honest truth is that life is too busy to run daily homework for two months. It is not a shortcut and it is not magic — it is simply more repetitions, delivered by someone who does this all day.
The program costs $2,900 and includes the e-collar your dog trains on. It also includes something that matters more than most people expect: a two-hour, one-on-one session at the end where the obedience is handed over to you.
What your dog knows when they come home

The handover is the part people underestimate
A dog that listens to a trainer and ignores its owner has not been trained — it has been rented a personality. That is why the program ends with a two-hour session where we walk through everything your dog now does and, more importantly, how to handle them so it keeps working. The commands transfer to you or the two weeks were pointless.
After that, the refresher is free for life. If something slips six months from now, you call and come back in.

Results vary by dog. Major behavioral issues such as dog or human aggression cannot be guaranteed to be eliminated — our programs give you control and a clear plan to manage them.
Honest limits
Two weeks will not erase a serious bite history. Aggression and anxiety cases are a different track, they require an evaluation before anything is booked, and we will tell you if your dog is not a fit. Saying yes to every dog would be better for our calendar and worse for you.
Where your dog trains
Dogs in the program work around the same conditions they will live in — traffic, other dogs, people at doors, open space. That matters in Palm Beach County, where a trained dog is expected to hold a recall on a beach and stay under voice control at an unsupervised county dog park. Obedience that only exists in a quiet room does not survive here.

How much does a 2 week board and train cost?

Is board and train worth the money?
It is worth it when the gap is large or your schedule genuinely will not support daily homework for two months. If you have the time and want to learn the handling yourself, private lessons at $650 are better value. Off Leash K9 Training will say which applies to you.
Where does my dog stay during the two weeks?
Your dog boards with one of our professional trainers and trains daily as part of the routine, rather than sitting in a kennel between sessions. Call Off Leash K9 Training and we will walk you through exactly how the two weeks run.
Will my dog still listen to me when they get home?
That is what the two-hour one-on-one session at the end is for. We hand the obedience over to you and show you how to handle your dog so the commands hold. Training that only works for the trainer is not training.
Is the e-collar included or an extra cost?
Included. The e-collars used by Off Leash K9 Training are made specifically for our locations and work as a low-level communication tool, not a punishment device.
What if the training fades months later?
The refresher is free for life. If something slips, call and bring your dog back in — there is no additional charge for the refresher on the obedience you already paid for.
